Jamal Abdul-Malik
Jamal is a Senior Engineer on staff in ADCO’s Technical Center Integrity & Operations
Division working in Abu Dhabi UAE. He has consulted globally with major
industrial and commercial corporations on Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
solution implementation. As part of the MRO / IBM Oil & Gas Development
Partners Team he was a major contributor to the design and development of the
most important innovations currently being offered in the IBM MAXIMO version 6.x and 7.x Oil and Gas applications.
He brings an impressive 20 years of practical physical asset management experience focusing on optimization and performance enhancement. His core competencies are in asset integrity, maintenance and project management. Oil and Gas business strategies, maintenance policies, operations standards, business process analysis, educational content development and solutions delivery.
Prior to joining ADCO, Jamal participated in and conducted EAM and CMMS engagements in a variety of different industries in several countries including the USA, Mexico, Canada and in a variety of different business and technical roles. Since coming to the UAE in 1998 as a Senior Training Consultant with MRO Software, he was quickly advance to Senior Technical Consultant and eventually Asset Integrity Management Team Leader at ZADCO.
Before joining MRO software, Jamal spent several years as the Physical Plant Operations Manager at his alma mater North Carolina A&T State University. While at A&T He designed developed and implemented the Universities first CMMS. In addition to his normal duties, he chaired the University Safety Committee and Energy Management Committee.
While at NC A&T Jamal held Regional and Board level posts in the AIPE where his special committee changed the scope and organizations designation to (AFE) Association for Facilities Engineers. He held a North Carolina General Contractors license and was the Managing Partner in a small contracting firm focused on home inspection, renovation and assisting first time home buyers transition to home ownership. Amazingly enough, while doing all of this he managed to earn his BS Construction Technology and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1994.
