The founder and director of the Jamar Esaw & Triad 4 Christ choir, Jamar Esaw has received multiple awards for the group's musical work, including six Rhythm of Gospel Awards. Additionally, since launching its debut album in 2011, Jamar Esaw's group has appeared in multiple stage plays and competed in Verizon's How Sweet the Sound competition, where they advanced all the way to the regionals round.
Jamar Esaw and his award-winning choir have sung background vocals for numerous recording artists, including Michael McDonald, Lonnie Hunter, and Lyle Lovett. He has also performed in venues across the country with the Eastern Star Church Main Campus Choir, of which he was the music director for three years.
Mr. Esaw began his career as a model with Moore Eleanor Model & Talent Agency and later acted in the Broadway musical Showboat. He has additional musical experience as an assistant minister of music at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church and also served three years as a senior financial loan processor with General Electric. He's a National Honors Society business management graduate of Minnesota's Augsburg College.
