JAMEL STRONG

A heartfelt lyricist with an ability to touch the heart of God while leading people into the presence of the Lord best describes the ministry of Jamel Strong. Growing up the son of parents in the ministry, Godly character was instilled in him at a young age. This ordained minister, singer, and songwriter sang his first solo at the age of six. As a teenager, Jamel sang on his first nationally released CD entitled Have Thine Own Way by The Alabama State COGIC Mass Choir. This recording was released on the Tribute Records label and executively produced by Ben Tankard.

After entering college on a music scholarship, Jamel went on to complete a Masters degree in Language Arts Education. He has had the pleasure of writing and/or ministering with some of the greatest Gospel artists in the world including: Dr. Mattie Moss-Clark and the Clark Sisters, Bishop Walter Hawkins, Kim Burrell, Pastor Marvin Sapp, Benita Washington, and Maurette Brown-Clark.

In 1999, Jamel founded Strength Ministries, Inc. From this non-denominational multifaceted ministry, Jamel Strong & Message was formed. Message is an aggregation of worship leaders who travel the country ministering in concerts and seminars. In 2002, the Triple M Conference was founded. The Message Music Ministry Conference is an annual Worship & Word gathering that reemphasizes purity in music ministry through seminars, services, and concerts. It is from this conference that the first CD, Jamel Strong Presents The Triple M Mass Choir, yielded the worship anthem "My Hands Are Lifted Up". Written and led by Jamel and viewed by many via YouTube, this song became an immediate success and has been sung and re-recorded by people all over the world.

Jamel Strong & Message are currently putting the finishing touches to a Live Recording session they recently held in the month of October in 2012. "Jehovah Reigns", the first single from this project, was highly acclaimed and received Billboard Gospel Chart recognition. The newest single, "Bigger, Better, Greater" is also receiving rave reviews. Jamel teaches humility and reverence in ministry and believes the gift should never be greater than the worship. It is with this commitment that we are sure to hear great things from these new millennium Worship Artist.
