James Agostino is a busy guy in Toronto. When he's not out gigging with one of his many diverse projects, he's teaching and constantly seeking out new musical experiences and inspirational education. James is 22 years old and is currently finishing up his fourth year at Humber college while studying under the head of percussion; Mark Kelso. Coming out of Thunder Bay Ontario, James’ musical beginnings started at an early age. His father is a juno-nominated performing artist (Tony Agostino) who performs in a variety of styles, and this influence gave him the musical dose he needed to kick-start his career at an early age. Throughout his youth, James spent most of his time playing and leading bands ranging in styles from progressive metal to pop, rock and jazz. By the age of seventeen, James was playing with some of Thunder bay’s top musicians and performing at a variety of venues in a variety of styles. The experience gained playing, recording and teaching helped him develop the skills he needed to move on to Toronto’s Humber College where he could hone his skills and continue on his musical path. When Humber is finished James plans on continuing with his playing and performing career as well as building his group of students and becoming a well-known musician within the GTA.
