I’ve been in the voice over industry since the 80s when, believe it or not, we delivered our sound files on floppy disks by motorcycle courier. I’ve been everything from scriptwriter, producer and voice over guy to eventual owner of a leading London agency with in-house studios and a 1 million pound turnover. In recent years first with Foreign Voices (1991-2009) and then The Voiceover Gallery (2010-present day) I've been providing solutions for some of the biggest and most innovative projects in corporate voice-over history.
I’m currently working with Google on the next generation of voice recognition software and have at various times been responsible for the entire localisation of X-box commercials across Europe, Discovery’s foreign language output to mobile devices and speech recognition research for X-box Kinect (a project involving 500+ voices).
My core services are multi-lingual voice casting, session producing and voice direction in studio, voice over budgeting, agency and post facility selection and voice over project management. I'm also interested in helping translation companies develop proprietary voice over services.
Whilst the UK remains a relatively protected voice over market, 2014 will continue to see an influx of new voices taking advantage of cheap technology to join our industry. In response to this I'll be launching several exciting new voice over related businesses. The first of these will be a specialist children's voice over agency based in London that will be opening its doors this April.
In the meantime I’m available on a day rate for London based consultancy.
