I am a professor of History and Humanities at Houston Community College in the Mexican American, African American, and Gender studies programs. I offer classes on campus, online, and in the hybrid format.

I'm the incoming editor of the Journal of Intercultural Disciplines -the organ of the National Association of African American Studies and Associates. I am also on the Executive Board of the NAAASA.

I've been a member of the editorial board for the Journal of International Women's Studies (Bridgewater State) since 2005.

And I'm an adjunct in the undergraduate school for UMUC.

I have written books, book chapters, articles, and essays on US, Middle East, World, and Women's history. My recent publication is an OER US history textbook through Rice University's Stax project.

My current research examines US foreign policy in Central America with the working title"The Last Crusade: American policy and intervention in Central America, 1979-1990."
