James Thaler
Jim is a practicing attorney in Business Law, Probate and Estate Planning. He is a Special Magistrate for Code Enforcement Hearings and Red Light Traffic Infractions for several cities, and a Hearing Officer for the Pinellas County Housing Authority. He serves as Corporate Counsel for several companies, and has owned and operated small businesses for over 25 years. He lectures locally and nationally to lawyers, judges, accountants and other professionals on Professionalism, Ethics, Diversity, Practice Management, Estate Planning and Business Administration. Jim is admitted to The Florida Bar, the US Supreme Court, the US Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, the US Tax Court and the US Court of International Trade.
Jim is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Florida and Kentucky. He is a Past President of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Bar Foundation. He served for 10 years as a Visiting Assistant Professor and the Associate Director of Graduate Business Programs at Stetson University, overseeing the J.D./M.B.A. Program on Stetson University’s College of Law campus. Jim received a B.S. degree from Centre College, and an M.B.A. degree and J.D. degree from Stetson University.
