Born in Pennsylvania, USA, in 1971, I studied journalism and music at California State University-Humboldt. Following graduation, I worked at a daily newpaper, The Eureka Times-Standard, in Northern California for several years. In 2004 I received an award from the California Newspaper Publisher's Association.

Since then, I have lived and traveled around Europe, spending five years in Prague and the past three in Istanbul. My books, including "Conversations in Prague," and "The Trumpet Fisherman and Other Istanbul Sketches," are available online at Amazon.com and Lulu.com
