James Yount
Illinois native James Yount possesses nearly two decades of experience in the financial sector. Licensed by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Jim Yount is legally permitted to communicate with retail investors, administer brokerage branches, and solicit any type of security order. James Yount’s professional career also consists of his role as creator and co-producer for the upcoming movie Warrior, starring Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, and Gabrielle Anwar.
A Financial Consultant, James Yount devotes his time and energy to assisting Financial Advisors in meeting their clients’ needs. Based in Southern California, Jim Yount works with wire houses, which are brokerage firms with private wire systems connecting to branch offices. Over the years, James Yount has traveled to New York for work in the state’s financial market. During his visits to New York City, Jim Yount stays active by running around one of the city’s reservoirs.
James Yount’s athletic lifestyle extends beyond his business trips. An accomplished swimmer, Jim Yount successfully competed in multiple events throughout his academic career. A former High School All- American Swimmer, James Yount joined Drury College’s swim team in 1977. For four consecutive years, Jim Yount remained a dominant force for the team, earning 21 All-American Swimmer titles and setting records for the 100-, 200-, and 500-yard Freestyle Events. Under James Yount’s leadership in 1981, the Drury Panthers won their first National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes (NAIA) championship. In recognition of his impressive accomplishments, Drury College named James Yount the fifth male Hall of Fame inductee in its history.
Near his home in Coto de Caza, California, Jim Yount enjoys rock climbing, hiking, weight lifting, and paddle boarding.
In addition to his athletic endeavors, James Yount also pursues an interest in film. Jim Yount co-produced the movie Warrior, set for a December 2010 release, which follows the story of a high school lacrosse player whose father died to save a Marine in Iraq. After meeting the Marine, the young man learns several life lessons and is able to overcome the pain of his loss.
