Welcome to my world of music and passion! I'm James B. Angelo, and I bring a wealth of musical expertise and dedication to every endeavor.
My journey in music began at West Visayas State University, where I honed my skills and earned my Bachelor's degree in Music Education. Graduating in 2016 as the Most Outstanding Student Teacher and Most Outstanding Music Student, I garnered a host of accolades, including the Proficiency Award, Service Award, and recognition for Outstanding Voice, Exemplary on Chorale Works and Conducting and Piano performance.
As a former member and official pianist of the esteemed University Choir, "PANAYANA," I immersed myself in the vibrant world of choral music, winning numerous awards at both regional and national levels. My passion for music extends beyond performance; I've also excelled in training and mentoring participants in various musical competitions, from children's choirs to solo piano and voice performances.
In 2020, fueled by a desire for continuous growth, I ventured to Manila to pursue advanced studies at the University of Santo Tomas – Conservatory of Music. Under the tutelage of renowned professors Anthony Yu Say and Elisanta Cortes, I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance, complemented by a minor in Voice Performance. My dedication to excellence has led me to participate in master classes with esteemed international concert pianists, enriching my musical journey and expanding my horizons.
Currently preparin for my Junior and Graduation recital at the UST-COM under the distinctive Professor Najib Ismael, I am also engaged in sharing my passion through private music lessons offered online. I firmly believe in the transformative power of music and the importance of imparting knowledge to others. As I continue to pursue my musical aspirations, I remain committed to the belief that teaching is one of the noblest professions, and I am honored to play a part in shaping the future of music.
