James Corwin Johnson has specialized in professional photography for over 35 years. He is a graduate of the Glen Fishback School of Photography, and is currently on the faculty of the Ringling College of Art and Design, Longboat Key Center for the Arts the Yosemite Conservancy, and Photo Experience Education. Other institutions where James has taught lead workshops, or served as director included: Eckerd College, Anna Maria Island Art League, Safari Ventures and Yosemite National Park, Ansel Adams Gallery Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line and more. .

Photo Experience is home base for James where he continues to practice his craft and shares his vast experience with students and clients alike, located in Sarasota Florida. Photo Experience specializes in commercial Photography including: Fine Art reproduction Photography Studio, and Education Center. Photo Experience offers adventure travel opportunities to locations around the world as well as local attractions, offering a verity of photographic opportunities to demonstrate technique in the field. PHOTO EXPERIENCE EDUCATIONJ Specializes in teaching the art of seeing, and taking a closer look at the world around us through photography, James prides his tours on destinations of which he has a personal background and teaches the mechanics of photography esthetics. These workshops take you to destinations like Yosemite, where he was resident photographer for over 12 years and continues to lead tours and workshops for the Yosemite Conservancy. In 1990 he wrote the Official Yosemite Photographers Guide, sponsored by Kodak and is the Official Photography Guide for Safari Ventures, African Tours voted #1 by National Geographic in 2009.
