James Desborough

James Desborough is an award winning British journalist, book author and media commentator and consultant, who works in Los Angeles, New York and London.

He has worked for a variety of newspapers across the world, including The UK’s People and The Daily Express, in addition to interviewing a raft of A-list stars and newsmakers from the worlds of sports, politics and show business. His work as a prominent correspondent has landed him on TV networks worldwide both as a host and guest correspondent, including the E! Network, CBS, BBC, ITV1, CNN, HLN, TV Guide Network and Channel Nine Australia.

Desborough currently works out of LA, where he covers Hollywood news for outlets such as The New York Daily News, Mail Online, Sunday Express and more.

He was named the Show Business Reporter of the Year at the 2009 British Press Awards, and in 2013 he was nominated as Entertainment Journalist of the Year at the 55th SoCal Journalism Awards, where he was also runner-up in the International News Report category. In 2014, Desborough received five nominations, including Entertainment Journalist of the Year, and won both the Personality Profile and Entertainment Feature awards at the 56th Annual SoCal Journalism Awards, while being runner-up in the Entertainment News category.

James Desborough is also the author of the critically acclaimed books, “One Direction… What Makes Them Beautiful” and “This is US: 1D Uncut.” Both are books dedicated to the British boy band’s loyal fans and chronicle their rise to success as well as their debut onto the silver screen.
