James Doherty — IT Support Technician specialising in Microsoft 365 user support, Windows troubleshooting, network connectivity diagnostics, and account access / MFA setup through Active Directory / Azure AD. I focus on helping users resolve issues calmly and clearly, whether remotely or in person.
I previously supported staff and systems at the University of Kent and Capita, working within ticket-based IT service environments where accuracy, communication and problem analysis were key. This built a strong foundation in first-line troubleshooting and guiding users with varying levels of technical confidence.
Alongside this, I have experience providing live technical support in esports performance environments, helping players and staff troubleshoot software, hardware, and connectivity issues in real time. Working in esports strengthened my ability to stay composed under pressure, explain technical steps simply, and maintain a positive user experience even when time-critical.
I am currently progressing my technical development through Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) and Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), with a planned pathway into MD-102 / Intune and endpoint administration to move toward Microsoft 365 and device management roles.every role.
