James Elam, IV
James Elam is the founder and creative lead of Eternal Crescent Media, a multimedia company specializing in film and television production across platforms. Prior to taking on media creation, James began his professional career as an associate in the litigation department of Dilworth Paxson for a year, before moving into the corporate transactional group of the legal powerhouse. Quickly developing a reputation for professionalism, James negotiated numerous agreements in music publishing, licensing, distribution, merchandising and investment, as well as general counsels to corporations as well as individual clients, including such luminaries as Jill Scott, Lil Wayne and John Legend.
James role as a producer started with the stage play and then film, "Nina Foxx's 'Marrying Up'" in 2008. Following this success, James co-produced the feature film debut of notable French director, Kader Ayd. Ayd is by all accounts a rising star among directors and the film, presently titled "513" will be Ayd's, US debut. "513" features a strong body of talent including stars, Tom Sizemore, Taryn Manning, Danny Trejo, Michael Madsen, Bokeem Woodbine, and Steven Bauer. James was also associate producer for the feature film "Magic Valley" featuring, Scott Glenn, Kyle Gallner, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Alison Elliott.
Always positioning himself on the cutting edge of life, James is an avid photographer and adjunct professor of copyright law, at St Joseph's University. He also dedicates time to mentoring youth of all backgrounds, as well as lending a helping hand to anyone with a clear vision they are trying to achieve.
