James F. Henry

A partner with Cabaniss Johnston Gardner Dumas & O'Neal, a health care practice based in Birmingham, James F. Henry draws upon over two decades of experience in representing health care providers, hospitals, physicians, pharmacies, and nursing homes, among other clients. James F. Henry is particularly knowledgeable in the areas of Medicare abuse and fraud as well as provider mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Henry previously held partner roles with Bradley Arant Boult Cummings as well as Johnston Barton Proctor and Rose. A nationally-recognized health care attorney, he also regularly speaks on health law matters at various forums and has written numerous columns for health law newsletters. He holds membership with professional organizations such as the Alabama Nursing Home Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

He is a cum laude graduate of the Cumberland School of Law, where he was a member of the national moot court team and contributed articles to the Cumberland Law Review. Prior to pursuing a legal career, James F. Henry earned a master's in business from Samford University. He completed his bachelor's in the same subject from the University of North Alabama, where he was a member of the varsity tennis team.
