I’m James George MORRISON, father of two daughters; Systems Analyst for WPP; precept payer and proud Leigh man.

I’ve been a fundraiser committee chair, raising thousands of pounds for charity finishing multiple BHF London-to-Brighton Bike Rides.

Both my girls, and my wife Alison, attended West Leigh schools and then grammar schools in the area. I’ve watched proudly, as my girls’ dance school took part in the Leigh Lights Parade and waved as David Amess drove past in his Santa outfit.

I’ve lived in Leigh now, for the best part of my life. I made a choice to live here. Coming into my third decade living in the town, I want to give something back.

In the May local elections, I contested West Leigh ward for Labour but, as is the tradition with many of the current and previous LTC Councillors, I promise to leave party politics at the door. I’ve supported Looking After Leigh, and helped them to restore balance to the council.

I will stand for what is best for Leigh, not as instructed by a party whip. I will represent you and take on those who want to drag our parish council into party politics. On 19 December, vote James MORRISON for an Independent Town Council.

As Town Councillor for Bonchurch, I will…
