His career in the film production industry spans across 15 years and includes several blockbuster films, such as Avatar (2009), I Am Legend (2007), and Amazing Spiderman (2012). He possesses extensive experience in VFX and performance capture and proficiency in all aspects of virtual production management. Furthermore, James Knight assisted in the development of groundbreaking performance capture techniques while working on Avatar.

He joined AMD in 2015 as a virtual production assistant and received the promotion to virtual production director in 2016. His role involves working closely with producers and studios on visual effects, virtual production and computer graphics for films and Games. He has developed professional relationships with numerous content creators and studios. Knight collaborates with VFX artists, producers, and studios to adapt the techniques pioneered on Avatar for use in AMD projects.
