James Gray

Hi I'm James. In essence I just love movies. I'm a big sucker for films and I love watching something new and original. Mainly I love Fantasy/Sci-Fi kinda movies. I've always been interested in that stuff. Originally I wanted to be a journalist, then I wanted to become a writer of novels. But time and again I always loved to picture my stories more in visuals than on paper.

I started out doing an FTV course at my high school. It was pretty awesome, some of the stuff I learnt made me more excited to join this industry. It was a good starting point, but a lot of the stories I wanted to tell were too complex and vast than what can be done at high school.

I'm really into shows like Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Black Sails, Cosmos, Breaking Bad, all of the Back to the Future Films, every single superhero movie, Jurassic Park, the list could go on forever. My main complaint with films these days is that they lack originality. There are too many sequels, prequels, sequel prequels, and sequel prequel sequels. I love Sci-Fi and Fantasy because they do not just present a new story, but (to quote Aladdin) 'a whole new world'.
