James Hennessy

A friend of mine says that life is not about the destination but about the journey. So here is my journey:

When I was 4 years old, I moved with my family to Africa. My parents are missionaries and I was a part of their ministry from as far back as I can remember. In Africa, we planted churches and worked with ministry training.

God spoke to me and began calling me to a life of full-time ministry when I was 8 years old.

By the time I was 13, I was playing guitar on the worship team in my home church in the United States (We were on furlough).

At 14, I was playing guitar in my home church in South Africa.

I feel called to worship ministry, playing guitar, singing and working with video. By the time I turned 19, I was a month into a 3 month worship internship at Faith Assembly of Lacey (Our home church in Washington State).

At 20, I am in my second media internship with Network211, a world missions organization, creating and posting evangelistic videos on the internet as part of Project 10Million. (To see some of the work I have been apart of at Network211 visit http://globalchristiancenter.com.) To find out more about this missions organization visit http://project10million.com.

I am also interning on the worship team at Life360 Church, Calvary Campus (Springfield, Missouri). To find out more about this church visit http://life360.org/calvary/.

At the same time, I am heading into my second year in the Ozarks Technical Community College Electronic Media Production program. I will graduate in 2013. I am also currently working on getting my credentials through the Southern Missouri District Council of the Assemblies of God. I expect to have my Certified Ministers credential by the end of 2012.

Being a media student and going into ministry I have started my first business! Roanoke Studios! Our first project is well underway and schedualled to be done in just one week I will post a link as soon as it is up. Check it out and tell me what you think!

That is the journey so far. Join me on facebook, twitter, linkedin, and google+ to be apart of my on going journey.
