I am a public affairs and communications professional with a passion for social and community issues.

Currently at the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services, I lead communications initiatives for key ministry operations, and provide strategic communications advice and issues analysis.

My government experience also includes working as a senior political aide to three cabinet ministers and in the Office of the Premier of Ontario. I also worked for a Toronto-based public affairs firm consulting for a variety of private and public sector clients, before starting my own business specializing in providing communications solutions to non-profit organizations.

I have always been motivated to strengthen communities and improve lives. I worked as a public relations professional for United Way Toronto, and volunteered for the Community One Foundation, Supporting Our Youth’s gay and lesbian youth mentoring program, AIDS Walk Toronto and WoodGreen Community Centre. I currently volunteer on the board of directors of the AIDS Committee of Toronto.

I am a graduate of Ryerson University’s journalism program, and I was a journalist with CBC Television News, the Canadian Press, the Brantford Expositor and the Collingwood Enterprise-Bulletin.

I am a newly-converted photography enthusiast and recently participated in my first community art show. You can view some of my work at my website.
