James Johnson

My name is James Johnson and I'm a photographer working in the Philadelphia area. My introduction to photography was in high school, when I took a summer course at Community College of Philadelphia for Black & White Photography. Aside from earning a few college credits that I would use later on at Temple University, the course inspired a passion for capturing moments that I still have to this day. I’ve been fortunate enough to couple my love of photography and my love of writing as a freelancer with Philly.com’s music website, Phrequency. I’ve also had photos published in Premier Guitar Magazine, RhymeStreet Magazine, Philadelphia Music Magazine, The Philadelphia Daily News, and The Phoenix New Times, among others.
