James Kilbourn

I am a coffee roaster, an experienced barista and run my own coffee roasting business in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

I am currently completing my Certificate in Advanced Studies in Coffee Excellence through the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZAHW) and working towards my Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Coffee Diploma. I have completed various Barista, Sensory and Roasting certificates through the SCA.

I have a honours degree in Mass Communication from the North West University and a diploma in Sound Engineering from Damelin college.

I formerly worked full-time in the radio broadcasting industry and still provide voice-overs for radio stations and for radio and video productions. I present a Saturday afternoon radio show on OFM, a regional music radio station in South Africa.

I am married and a father of one. My interests range from photography to music. I'm a mild petrol-head with an enthusiasm for motorcycles and cars but am also intrigued by the advent of alternative-power vehicles.
