JAMES KIM

James is a seasoned real estate expert and broker with international experience and a passion for people-driven service. His deep market knowledge spans both commercial and residential real estate with a specialization in luxury properties and estates. To date, Kim has assisted buyers, sellers and investors, resulting in over $530 million in transactions.

His warm nature belies an inquisitive mind. With multiple degrees including philosophy and science, James started as an educator and moved seamlessly into administration.

From there, his interest in real estate took over and he was picked up by Lexington, a spin-off of the Special Products Group at Commerz Bank AG in Tokyo, a boutique real-estate investment firm with a structured finance approach. The company focused on buying real estate in the U.S. for high-net worth Japanese clients. He gained additional experience as a broker at Sperry Van Ness and at Ternion Capital where his input was crucial to all aspects of structured commercial and real estate transactions.

Later on, he was brought on board by top real estate investment firm Kennedy Wilson, where he rose to become Vice President of Builder Marketing Services & Auction Group.

James brings his diverse background and deep industry knowledge to his role as President of Exclusive Listing. Married for 19 years to his high school sweetheart, when not busy in brokerage, he can be found chasing after his five well-behaved children, ranging in age from 2 to 9 years old.
