James Korbo

An alumnus of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, James Korbo graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Business in 1989. Four years later, James Korbo founded Sentry Salvage, which serves as a salvage recovery agent to insurance company adjusters and self-insured corporations. In his capacity as President, Mr. Korbo oversees the daily operations of Sentry Salvage.

James Korbo manages Sentry Salvage at the corporate headquarters in Union, New Jersey. James Korbo oversees the 18 Sentry Salvage offices operating across the United States. Sentry Salvage maintains offices in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Florida, California, Illinois, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky, Texas, Colorado, and Louisiana. Comprised of expert salvors, the consultants evaluate damaged stock merchandise as the result of fire, flood, or any other loss. When the stock is deemed unsalable by the insured or retailer, Sentry Salvage's team facilitates the sale for the account to achieve a positive recovery.

James Korbo anticipates client needs and establishes the necessary warehouse facilities and transportation if clients desire to move their merchandise. A member of professional organizations such as Loss Executives Association, the Property Loss Research Bureau, and Risk Insurance Management Society, James Korbo stays current on recent practices and strategies in order to help clients. James Korbo also attends conferences to stay up-to-date on legislation, practices, and ethics in the insurance industry.
