Partner and CMO, James has helped elevate Click Rain to one of America’s fastest growing companies—landing Click Rain on the Inc. 5000 list five years in a row.

James knows marketing—both online and offline. His genuine interest in helping clients succeed comes through in his everyday work where he strives to create a solid foundation for client–agency partnerships. In fact, creating meaningful partnerships is at the center of everything he does. He, along with the 37 other Click Rain employees, pull their 200-plus combined years of digital marketing expertise together to solve every client’s online marketing challenges—whether it’s developing and designing a responsive website, search ads, email campaigns, or content.

With a passion for anything web, James works with some of Click Rain’s largest regional and national clients along with internal teams to provide overarching digital service strategies. He is also a guest contributor to the Regency Hotel Management blog (a Click Rain client) where he talks about the latest trends in digital marketing and the hotel industry—setting an example of how true strategic partnerships can work.

James walks the walk, living out Click Rain’s faith, family, work mantra. In 2013, James first traveled to Haiti for a service and learning trip (now every year) — a benefit offered to all Click Rain employees. There he was introduced to Mission Haiti. Now James lends his entrepreneurial experience to help expand the business side of this non-profit organization by sitting on their board of directors. James is also the Chair of the Downtown Sioux Falls board where he contributes ideas to improve his local community.

James has deep ties to Sioux Falls, growing up in the area, attending Augustana College where he majored in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and management, and now is one of three partners at an award-winning digital marketing firm.

Beyond solidifying himself as a partner at Click Rain, James considers one of his greatest accomplishments to be his family. On the weekends, you’ll see James out with his family at Sioux Falls Skyforce basketball games or getting outdoors. James and his wife also train and have completed over 15 half-marathons together.
