Born at an early age, young James E. Lyle was immediately thrust into the world of art. His earliest work, his footprint on a birth certificate survives and is considered my many to be among his best work.

He has also contributed art to various comic books, advertisments, album covers, tee shirts, magazine layouts, television commmercials, etc. in 30+ years as a working illustrator and cartoonist.

James (or "Doodle") lives and works in the mountains of western North Carolina.
