James Martin IV
Mr. James W. Martin IV is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from West Virginia State University in 2003. Mr. Martin was a Scholar-Athlete and All Conference Football Player at West Virginia State where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Math Education. He is currently enrolled at Morgan State University where he will be receiving a Masters Degree in Aspiring Leaders and Administration in the spring of 2012. Mr. Martin started his teaching career in the Mat Department at Deer Park Middle School in 2003. He then moved on to teach and serve as the Team Leader at Woodlawn Middle School from 2007 – 2009. For the past three years, Mr. Martin has been teaching at his high school alma mater Woodlawn High School. Mr. Martin is the coordinator of the African American Male Initiative program at Woodlawn. In this capacity, he teaches math and an all male college preparatory curriculum for African American Male students. Mr. Martin believes the profession of teaching and learning is a continuous journey.
