A well-established California entrepreneur, James Mason guided SynerMed as CEO for over 18 years and provided coordinated care solutions that ensured that health care was seamlessly delivered. James Mason and his SynerMed colleagues oversaw 700 employees and 1 million health network members.

Mr. Mason earned his BA in international relations at the University of Redlands and completed an MBA at Pepperdine University. Closely connected within his professional community, he served on the boards of the Integrated Healthcare Association and of America's Physicians Groups.

He also maintains a strong philanthropic presence and supports Homeboy Industries programs that benefit those who have recently been incarcerated. He is additionally a benefactor of local nonprofits such as the Los Angeles Food Bank. Serving as St. Francis Center food program board president, he oversees the provision of coordinated services that assist individuals who are homeless.
