James McRedmond

James is currently a senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is pursuing a degree in Biology as he works toward a career as a Physician Assistant; he will be applying to programs this Spring.

Prior to furthering his education, James served six years in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman (that's military language for a medic), where he gained invaluable medical knowledge and practice. He served as the sole medical provider to 28 Marines during tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and served in the blood bank and patient administration departments at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. In addition, James has two years of experience as a hospital technician.

In his spare time, James is a self-proclaimed gym-rat, web developing hobbyist, and vegan. He tries to spend as much time as possible with his wife and amazing two-year-old daughter.
