I was born in Bolton UK in 1971, from as young as I can remember I loved drawing. I eventually discovered printingmaking thanks to a great mentor Bill Dyson, who worked at Bolton Art College running the foundation course there for a good while. It's really important for me to give credit to some good friends on this course, Stephen Taylor, Nigel Rogerson, Tracey Mckay and Stuart Murray, all of whom proved to be valued contempoaries. I went on to persue a Print specailism with Phil Redford and Jack Chesterman at Leeds University. It was the immeadiacy of monoprinting which finally resulted an obvious transition from ink to paint. I discovered that new techniques and inspiration from my good friends Emerson Mayes and Christopher P Wood led to an arrival at a perfect combination of media and subject, Landscapes in Oil Paint.
