A decorated law enforcement official, James N. Hendricks most recently served as a Special Agent in Charge with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a position that entailed investigating violations of federal criminal law, as well as overseeing seven regional offices. Previously, James N. Hendricks held positions including Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Supervisory Special Agent, and Section Chief.
Throughout his 22-year career with the FBI, Mr. Hendricks participated in the Albany Law Enforcement Resolution Team (ALERT) Community Forum aimed at improving relationships between community members and law enforcement professionals. He also developed the agency’s first Counterintelligence Task Force, performed a comprehensive analysis of threats, and oversaw more than 200 agents.
Mr. Hendricks holds a bachelor of science in criminal justice from Murray State University. After graduating, he served as an officer with the Henderson Police Department in Kentucky, eventually achieving the rank of sergeant. In addition to implementing a range of crime prevention strategies, he worked to improve hiring methods and increase diversity in the department. he maintains membership in professional organizations such as the Society of Former Special Agents.
