James O'Malley
journalist in London, UK
I am a freelance writer and journalist available for commissions and shifts. I have previously written for the Spectator, Wired, Politico, New Statesman, Telegraph, CityMetric, HuffPost US, The Independent, Politics.co.uk, TechRadar, Engineering & Technology, Professional Engineering, Which? Computing, Gizmodo US and Lifehacker, amongst others.
I am also the creator of @TrumpsAlert, a Twitter bot which monitors the President and his family's Twitter activity.
From 2016-2018, I was Editor of tech and nerdy culture website Gizmodo UK.
I also appear on the news offering punditry on a wide range of issues from time to time. Between 2014 and 2018 I was the BBC Asian Network's technology expert, appearing weekly on the Noreen Khan show.
I also have experience with "editorial development" - building bots and widgets to assist editorial teams.
Previously I was Founder & Editor of The Pod Delusion, a weekly news-magazine radio programme and podcast about politics, science and culture. Guests included Stephen Fry, Armando Iannucci, Brian Cox and David Attenborough. It was also broadcast on Resonance FM in London.
I was also very briefly famous in Canada. And I'm the guy who accidentally started the London Independence movement, even though I'm not really sure I believe in the cause.
I am @Psythor on Twitter.
