Jameson Maloney

I am an accounting major at Bryant University class of 2013. I was born and raised in Rhode Island. My time at Bryant has taught me a lot about myself. I've learned that I can succeed and live on my own and actively work towards a successful and exciting future. Through Bryant University I have studied abroad in Ireland for my Sophomore Spring semester, been the Treasurer and current President of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, I work in the Audio Visual Department as the lead editor, I worked in the bookstore for 3 years and I am a second year resident assistant.

As a resident assistant, I am responsible for maintaining a calm, education promoting and safe community for students. As a campus official, I lead by example in my school work, campus involvement and local community involvement. Being an RA is exciting and rewarding because I get to be an active part in the success of my residents and I am able to offer up help whenever needed.

In the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship I am the current President and an active member. We hold scripture studies, discussions, campus initiatives, community service events, and spiritual retreats. We also participate in InterVarsity trips to conferences and to New Orleans during Spring Break for disaster relief. As the President of the Fellowship I work closely with our InterVarsity staff member to plan and coordinate trips and events for the group.

As the editor in the Audio Visual Department, I am responsible for editing videos and other media for faculty, campus organizations and campus events. I am also responsible for educating other student workers about editing and how to do it to keep work flow up to date and on schedule.

I cannot begin to explain how much I have grown in my leadership skills and communication abilities from all of these activities and positions. Without Bryant I would be a much different and ill-equipped individual. I know now that I have the confidence and skills needed to enter the working world and build a future for myself and my current and future family.
