I have had careers both as an external auditor in the US Government Accountability Office (GAO), and as an internal auditor in the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Since then I have been a consultant on international development projects as a trainer of government internal auditors on modern concepts and best practices, expert on good governance, public integrity, and risk managment. I have worked in Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Indonesia, Latvia, Moldova, Peru, Philippines, Ukraine, United States and Venezuela.

I was President of the International Consortium on Governmental Financial Management (ICGFM) www.icgfm.org for three years from 1995-1997. The ICGFM is an umbrella organization of public and private organizations dedicated to the improvement of government financial management throughout the world. Representing the ICGFM, I have also presided over and contributed to international government financial management conferences in Washington, D.C.; Miami, Florida; Bournemouth, England; Brisbane, Australia; Cairo, Egypt; Lahore, Pakistan; New Delhi, India; San Jose, Costa Rica; Budapest, Hungary; and Madrid, Spain.

I have started writing down the ideas and concepts that have emerged in the process of working and living in different cultures and countries. I would like to share some of my writing with you, get your reactions and ideas and incorporate them in my future writing which would also include case studies to illustrate my concepts.
