About the American Cancer Society

For 100 years, the American Cancer Society has worked to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. The movement for more birthdays is about everyday people coming together to make a difference. This year, more than 11 million cancer survivors will celebrate another birthday, thanks in part to the progress we’ve already made. But we can't stop there. With every person who joins the movement, we get closer to the day when cancer never steals another year from someone’s life.

The generosity of sponsors, patrons and friends is making a difference in the lives of cancer patients in our community. The proceeds from Cattle Baron’s Ball support the American Cancer Society’s mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem by helping people stay well, get well, find cures, and fight back through research, education, advocacy and service.
