James Vanderbeek Telford

Accomplished student-athlete James Vanderbeek has excelled in a variety of sports as he progressed through high school and college. A graduate of Souderton Area High School in Souderton, Pennsylvania, Vanderbeek frequently appeared in the sports pages of Pennsylvania newspapers as he achieved great success in track and field, football, and wrestling. Earning All-District honors in all three aforementioned sports and an impressive 10 varsity letters, James Vanderbeek garnered the Mr. Souderton award, as well as taking honors as Best Male Athlete at his high school. Outside of school-related athletics, James Vanderbeek has excelled in his personal commitment to mixed martial arts, gaining much praise for his athletic ability, power, and conditioning. A contact-heavy sport, mixed martial arts requires a great deal of discipline in order to achieve success. Fighting in multiple premier amateur mixed martial arts leagues, Vanderbeek jumped out to a 4–0–0 record. Moreover, Vanderbeek took the New Breed Fighters Welterweight Title at the One Step Closer fight in 2009. Vanderbeek won the fight with a knockout in the third round. Four months later, James Vanderbeek defended his title at the Reality Fighting: Battle at the Beach contest, winning the fight in a unanimous decision. In addition to his impressive mixed martial arts record, James Vanderbeek competed collegiately in wrestling and track and currently attends Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. There, he displays a high level of discipline and commitment to furthering his education while working his way through school. James Vanderbeek held positions in retail sales, where he displayed his personable manner, achieving the highest sales of the month while selling clothing.
