James R. R. Van Eerden

Greensboro, NC

I was born in Wisconsin but I have lived in the Tarheel State for most of my life. I have a passion for working with people and living in community. I believe adamantly in the Biblical truth found in Colossians 3:23: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." Therefore, I enjoy anything and everything that involves hearty competition. I am the oldest in a family of 11 children, 2 parents, 4 dogs, 30 chickens, 2 ducks, and countless cousins and relatives. During high school, I was a recipient of the Congressional Award Gold Medal and during college I served as the Student Body President. I am a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps and I am currently stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC.
