I started my insurance career as a licensed sales associate with Allstate in 2003. A few years later I joined the Division of Consumer Services at the Florida Department of Financial Services, where, for the next 11 years, I advocated on behalf of, and educated, frustrated Florida consumers who needed help with insurance issues, mostly relating to claims.
Those experiences taught me that too many consumers perform little or no due diligence before purchasing insurance products. To help bridge the information gap, I started my own Agency, Jami Kliner Insurance Group, to inform, to educate, and to encourage discussions about products and the process of insurance.
After a few years (and Covid), I decided to return to the Division of Consumer Services. I am currently managing a team of analysts that advocate on behalf of Floridian consumers who have a concern with their insurance company, agent, or adjuster.
