Born and raised on Long Island, I was extremely fortunate to be exposed to the world of food and hospitality at the young age of thirteen; Having worked my way up through the kitchen ranks, I developed an appreciation for fine food and service along with the high-energy lifestyle attached to the industry.
I strongly believe that food and warm hospitality are one of the most intimate things people can take part in and feel we are extremely fortunate to be involved.
My passion for the industry and realizing there is a disconnect between owners expectations, servers abilities and guest experience led me to the next chapter in my career, restaurant server training. I believes that servers, the largest employee pool in food service are most likely to influence the ‘bottom-line’ of a restaurant due to their direct contact with guests.
I founded ServedAcademy™, a restaurant service consulting and training facility soon to launch in washington D.C. ServedAcademy™ iwill be the only server training school designed to fully train servers prior to them 'hitting the floor'. This training program helps in eliminating the expensive and very time consuming process restaurateurs must endure to hire and train their staff. Having always appreciated being a part of what we call the “people business” i feel highly privileged to work alongside so many amazing and hardworking individuals. Only combined can they achieve such greatness on a daily basis. I believes, and anyone in the hospitality industry can attest, we are all family. I plans to continue making his mark by bringing ServedAcademy ™ to a national level. My intentions are to ensure servers are constantly elevating the quality of service, creating amazing guest experiences and improving their own and their restaurants profitability.“A bad day in the restaurant industry is far better than a day at the office.” -JR
