Jamie Wilson
KU Academic Advisor in Lawrence, KS
Hello! I'm Jamie, and I am an academic advisor at KU's Undergraduate Advising Center. I love advising students and being able to work together to learn more about their passions, help them set & achieve goals, and assist them in navigating through their educational journeys. I am originally from Schulenburg, Texas, a very small town between San Antonio and Houston. Before coming to KU, I was a Developmental English instructor at a community college in North Carolina. Prior to that I spent 5 years teaching English and History in both the middle school and high school settings. I am an avid reader and enjoy spending time at The Raven Bookstore and The Dusty Bookshelf here in Lawrence! I also love traveling, running, attending concerts, and coffee breaks. My husband and I have one daughter, Alice, born on March 26, 2020. We also have two very spoiled pets, Clint (our dog) and Chester (our cat).
