Born and raised in Poughkeepsie, New York, Jamie now lives in the slightly bigger city of Beijing. The journey to Beijing began before his first semester of college, when he registered for Beginning Chinese on a whim. Following four years of language study, a semester abroad in Beijing, and an internship at an Asian language textbook publisher, Jamie officially caught the "China bug." Outside the classroom or office, you might spot Jamie on the tennis court or at a ping pong table.
