I direct the physician recruitment for over 100 HealthSouth rehabilitation hospitals across the country. Working with hospital CEOs, executives and regional presidents I provide consultative solutions in all areas of medical staff development, provider recruitment, integration, retention, in-patient and out-patient practice set up, operations management, contracting, and income support agreements. Practicing in a HealthSouth hospital offers a PM&R; physician the opportunity to lead an interdisciplinary clinical team providing intensive rehabilitation and a wide range of specialized programs. For most locations, the physiatrist will establish a private practice to include a caseload of medically complex inpatient rehabilitation patients and an outpatient rehabilitation practice if he or she chooses.
