Early on, he was head of content production, but the company soon recognized the wide-ranging applicability of his creativity and knowledge of the ever-changing media landscape, and encouraged him to transition into interactive production, and platform strategy. In recognition of his accomplishments, Jamie McCarthy earned the Goodby, Silverstein and Partners Employee of the Year award.
An individual committed to community outreach, Mr. McCarthy established the JP McCarthy Foundation, an organization dedicated to assisting people with myelodysplastic syndrome. He also helped guide the Michigan Humane Society as a board member. A songwriter and musician, he performed at charity concerts to benefit young people impacted by eating disorders. When not working or supporting charitable endeavors, he develops his storytelling skills as a documentary filmmaker. His first documentary was produced in Ireland over the summer of 2012. He plans to shoot his second documentary in London with the help of actress Sophia Myles.
