Jamie Ritblat
Founder and Chairman
Founder and chairman Jamie Ritblat is an entrepreneur who established the Delancey real estate business in 1995. Delancey boasts a diverse portfolio of UK-wide assets that includes the Alpha Plus Schools Group and the former London Olympics 2012 Athletes’ Village.
Mr. Ritblat is a keen supporter of the art world and oversaw Delancey’s role as the very first sponsor of the National Portrait Gallery’s Schools and Learning programme. Mr. Ritblat also leads Delancey’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, which include sponsorship of the UK Schools’ Chess Challenge (the largest chess championship in the world) and the company’s sponsorship of Snow Camp. The latter charity aims to use snow activities to engage disadvantaged inner-city children, ultimately helping them to achieve nationally recognised qualifications, gain life skills and access vocational opportunities.
Mr. Ritblat was recognised as Entrepreneur of the Year by Property Week in 2013 and as Property Personality of the Year at the 2014 RESI Awards. His company, Delancey, was shortlisted for the Property Company of the Year award at the 2018 Property Awards and was shortlisted again in 2021 in the category of Social Impact Initiative (Commercial Property) for its development of the Elephant and Castle Community Hub, also at the Property Awards.
