Jamie Sundvall

Dr. Jamie Sundvall, a licensed psychologist, is a nationally recognized expert in artificial intelligence, focusing on its applications in clinical practice, mental health, ethics, and governance. Recently promoted to Assistant Provost of AI for the Touro University System, she also serves as Director of Online Education, leading the development of an innovative online Master of Social Work (MSW) program.

With extensive experience in forensic and clinical settings, Dr. Sundvall served as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy, acting as an international liaison and U.S. diplomatic advisor. Her military career shaped her expertise in behavioral health, crisis response, and cross-cultural communication. She has consulted for national and international organizations, providing insights on psychological operations, trauma-informed care, and AI ethics.

In academia, Dr. Sundvall has held roles as a professor, research chair, and program administrator in psychology, social work, counseling, and human services. A frequent speaker and published author, she explores trauma, military and veteran mental health, AI ethics, and digital policy, advocating for responsible innovation in education and healthcare.
