Jamie Thorsen is a trailblazing female executive administrator with a wealth of experience in the investment banking sector. She embarked on her 35-year career with Harris Bank/Bank of Montreal (BMO) shortly after graduating from Denison University with her bachelor of science in psychology. At the time, Jamie Thorsen was one of the few women to lead global foreign exchange (FX) banking operations. After several years in the professional sphere, she worked her way through graduate school to secure a master of business administration from Benedictine University.
Ms. Thorsen retired in 2012 as the executive managing director of FX products and China capital markets for BMO. Working out of offices in Chicago, she led operations in 10 international cities to constantly surpass FX revenue and business ranking goals. While at the bank, ,she served on the Capital Markets’ Investment Banking Executive, Management, and Performance committees. She also chaired the Pension Benefits Investment Committee and co-chaired the Diversity Committee.
