Jamil Abubakar

Being type rated to fly a range of jet aircraft, Jamil Abubakar is an experienced pilot who serves as a senior first officer at Azman Air, a role he began in 2017. Before joining the Lagos-based company, Jamil Abubakar held a similar position with IRS Airlines, where he served for six years.

While there, Jamil Abubakar logged over 1,000 hours of jet time while being responsible for a range of first officer duties, such as preparing flight routes. For the past eight years, he has also served as an executive director of Aximites Energy, where he oversees the company’s foreign assets and services.

In addition, he is responsible for developing and maintaining new contracts for the firm. In the position, he draws on skills he developed at Kingston University in London, which he graduated from in 2009 with a bachelor of science in computing information systems and multimedia.

Mr. Abubakar enjoys a range of hobbies, including skydiving and scuba diving, and is a soccer fan who supports Real Madrid.
