Born and Raised in Puerto Rico an island between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, a small island that has been the cradle of great artists, poets and athletes, but that has also given birth to international caliber Chefs which inspired me to follow my dream.
My mother... a Puerto Rican woman, strong, confident, inspiring! Always encouraging me to follow my dreams, since a very young age I knew becoming a Chef was that dream I would pursuit no matter what and thanks to her I had a home cooking background which kept me busy thinking on how to develop this knowledge in to a more elaborated type of cuisine.
My father... from the Middle East, also opened up a world of diverse spices and techniques that fascinated me. His strong character made me know that I would not break down when it came to pressure and that I was going to be ready for any challenge that any kitchen would give me.
Between Caribbean and Mediterranean Food, That is where I stand, bringing a Fusion between these two characteristic cuisines has given me the oportunity to offer a unique variety of dishes with a Multi-Cultural background.
This is how my carreer started, at a young age, two different etnic cuisines clashing once and again until they mixed into this unique Culinary experience that it was served on our table night after night and it became our tradionally inspired non traditional food.
This caught my attention and got me envolved in this Culinary Adventure in 2004 when I enrolled into Culinary School in Puerto Rico and discovered a new world waiting for me to expand my knowledge and this has brought me to some inspiring venues sucha as The Everglades Club @ Palm Beach,FL and has given opportunities to Manage different types of kitchens starting in diners, hotels, country clubs, Finally to develop my skills and become who I have become...
...a truly inspired Chef.
