I recently returned from India after completing a 200 hour yoga teacher training. I loved my time in India as much as the yoga teacher training. It was an amazing experience and I learned as much about myself as I did about yoga. I would recommend it to anyone looking to teach yoga, to deepen their yoga practice or learn about themselves.
I started practicing yoga as a way to become fit. I continued practicing because it brought so much to my life. Yoga helps me stay calm, deal with my emotions and live in the moment. Don't get me wrong, these things don't all come easy now, but even just remembering they are something i can control comes a little bit easier any time I feel myself getting worked up. With patience and practice, instead of reacting, I can take a moment to breathe, feel, think and then respond.
I want to teach yoga to share these things with others. I want to show people that they can have fun while practicing yoga. I want people to know that they can be happy and enjoy life if they learn to live openly and with awareness towards themselves and others and that a little smile goes a long way : )
