Hi, my name is Jamir Hartley, and I'm an upcoming third year majoring in Entertainment & Media with a minor in fashion merchandising.

Growing up, I stumbled upon many fashion magazines, blog posts from within the media industry, and cultural studies dedicated to pop culture. The more information I read, the more fascinated I became by the influence of an image, which made me curious about what role style plays in shaping reality and how it goes beyond just the fabric that you put on yourself for daily activity.

As I move on into my third year as a student of Entertainment & Media at UGA, I want to explore all aspects of fashion, both professionally and as a hobby. And it is precisely this interest that made me plunge directly into Entertainment & Media with my minor, an area which, as it turned out, is far beyond clothing only.

As I get closer to the future, I find myself in a place in which pursuing a career within fashion is no longer just an aspiration but a reality. Whether that means going behind the scenes, like the analytics, fashion marketing, or getting involved in the production of the media and images themselves, all I know is that I cannot wait to pursue this passion throughout my lifetime. For now, I am going to keep analyzing trends and developing my knowledge of media at UGA.
